There are several breathing techniques in yoga practice.
I liked the '1:4:2 breath' very much and did it so often when I started yoga about 10 years ago.
If you inhale for 5 seconds, hold it for 20 sec., and then exhale for 10 sec.
I didn't know the reason why I liked it so much, but I've completely forgot doing it for many years.
I realized it this morning, so I'll keep doing it from now on to find out what good stuff does it to me.
They must be good for our bowels; I have poop twice a day. :D
I don't have much knowledge on yoga, but I like it.
I like fermented food, NATTO, chese...(^-^)
I had a good time talking with you too! :-)
You speak English so fluently, and I like that you give us your ideas and info honestly.
Let's have fun together at SESS every Sunday night!
Thanks for your comments as always. :-)
I did this breath this morning again and found my breath became deeper after I'd done this for 5 sets.
My yoga teacher said that we would learn more when we come to inhale for 10 seconds; that means hold for 40 seconds and exhale for 20 seconds!
We only have one breath within one minute...oh, dear!
Thanks for enlightening me about the effective way of breathing, to which I'd like to give a try later.
Holding my breath for 20 seconds seems to be very tough for me, though.
See you soon.
