A home concert

I had a piano home concert for the first time this year today.
Two of my yoga friends and one acquentance came to listen to my music with their babies.
I started to have home concerts in 2001 for mothers who have little kids, as I wanted them to have relaxing time while busy raising their children.
More than 230 mothers have come to my house since then, and I've been very happy to enjoy the time together with them.
One of them said today that she wanted to play piano again after listening to my piano.
I was more than happy to welcome another piano player!

Thanks, milk! I'm very happy to read your comment. :D
So am I. You often use impressive expressions in SESS.
I've heard "ring a bell" for the first time; it didn't ring a bell when you used it. (Is this sentence all right? I'm still not sure about it's actual meaning and how to use it. lol)

You said it! Writing shows what the writer is like. I enjoy reading your blog too! :D

Hi,Carrie!
Thank you for remembering what I uttered in SESS.
I'm always impressed with your rich vocabularies and phrases.
Writing sometimes shows us the personality of the writers, I like your essay so much.(*^_^*)

Hi arie!
Thanks a lot for letting me know of the maxim; I'll change "father" to "mother" in my notebook! :D

I felt a bit embarrassed after writing you my former comment. I used "ring a bell" in a very wrong way!
Milk used this expression in SESS, so I just wanted to use it.... ^^;
Maybe I should have put " it might ring a bell for you as it did for me." Am I right?
Oh, I really should use my dictionary when writing!

You are assiduous enough already, arie. Maybe we should relax more. :D

Hi Eri!
Thanks much for your warmhearted message and sharing your own experience with me. :D
I've welcomed many babies and little kids at my house, but during the concerts, none of them cried so far.
That may be because their moms felt safe and were not worried about them at all.
Sorry you were busy going in and out a lot!

Hi, Carrie!
You're right, "Sex and the City"
I was surprised arie knows even the name of the writer.

I love to go to your piano concert with arie some day!

Hi, Carrie!

Thanks a lot for your quick response.
Actually, the maxim I referred to should be changed to "Continuity is the mother of success" so that it describes the true picture of your constant endeavor.
I think I must emulate your assiduity and lead a more quality life.

Congratulation on success of your home concert.
You have given such a wonderful happy time to so many mothers!

I remember that I often enjoyed some free concerts when my daughter was little.
Her crying and moving were my worry.
I was busy in going out of the room and in.
She smiled, I got into the room.
She was going to cry, I hurried out.
Mothers who came to your home concert didn't need to worry about it.
Addition that, you imspired a mother to play the piano again!

GM arie!
Thanks much for your encouraging message.
I'll keep the maxim in mind and keep going and going and going! haha. :D
Oh, I'd like you to listen to kapustin's piece, which contains famous Brazilian music, "Aquarela do Brasil".
You might ring a bell by listening to this familiar tune like I did.
Now I'll practice really hard to be ready to perform in front of you!

Thanks for your reference for milk.
I also forgot the title; I've now remembered. :D

GM milk!
Thanks much for your heartwarming message. :D
Yep! Through my own experience, I decided to have concerts for young moms.
It's nice to talk with them after the concerts as well; I can give them lots of gratuitous advice as an experienced obasan! haha. :D

"Sex and the City" was really a popular American drama, wan't it?
The name "Carrie" was my English name; it was used when I lived in England. :D

Hi,Carrie!

Congratulations on your success in giving your umpteenth home concert.
Your constant efforts reminds of the maxim "Continuity is the father of success."
It's really amazing you've so far invited more than 230 moms with their babies to your home concerts.
I feel honored to have a friend like you.
I'd like to be one of your audiences some time in the future.

By the way, Milk, you meant the novel written by Candace Bushnell "Sex and the City," which was published more than 17 or 18 years ago, just for your reference.

Hi, Carrie!
I admire you for the generosity to give your friends a happiest moment.
Young mothers don't have many opportunities to go to concerts with their children,
so your piano concert must have pleased them a lot!
It's wonderful that your music inspired HER to play the piano again.
I want to be a giver just like you.

Changing the topic, the name CARRIE minds me of a character in an American drama.
I forgot the title of the story 4 women living in New York.
One of them was Carrie, I assume.
