今朝、竜巻だった。約５：３０、サイレンの竜巻が鳴った。学校の間に、雷を聞いた。竜巻はすばやく姿を消したけど、嵐は数時間続けた。
This morning there was a tornado. Tornado sirens went off at about 5:30. I heard thunder all through school. The tornado was gone quickly, but the storm continued for several hours.
二日前、避難訓練があるのは、おかしいね！
It's funny because just a couple days ago we had a tornado drill!
Ｐ．Ｓ．「ドリル」か「訓練」ですか。

As ふぁう says, we have two kinds of drills because Japan has a lot of earthquakes and they often cause fire.

I hear the tornado drill for the first time.
We have the fire drill or the earthquake drill in Japan,
both drill is called 避難訓練（ひなんくんれん）in Japanese.
