まずは小麦粉を２週間断ちなさいという…。

彼は小麦粉を断って、パフォーマンスが飛躍的に向上したらしい。

まあ、白砂糖、白米など、精製されたものは体に良くないと言われているけど、全粒粉ならＯＫだろうと思って読んでみると…

全粒粉ももちろんダメ！

小麦粉の中のグルテンという成分が、体に害があるらしい。

小麦粉は品種改良が重ねられて、今、５０年前の物とは全くの別物になってしまっているという。

それで小麦アレルギーの人がたくさんいるわけか。

世界的にはグルテンフリーの食品コーナーも増えているとか？

私の見た限り、日本にはないけど～。

まあ、ジョコビッチ選手に触発されて、とりあえず２週間、小麦粉を断ってみることにしますー。

ってことは、ソバを除くめん類、パン、ケーキ類も一切食べられない～。

でも体はもちろん、頭も猛烈にスッキリするそうですー。

さあ、人体実験開始です！

I've started to live without gluten which is found in wheat flour.

I didn't know gluten-free foods are becoming popular in western countries, as I can't find such things in Japan.

Let's see what will happen to me after casting off wheat flour for two weeks!

Oh, I looked it up and it's the name of a doll? Hm, looks familiar! I think I've had one of those dolls at some point. I wonder where it went!

Ah, I know now! My sister and I had a doll like that when we were little; we named it Mallory and it wore a pink dress. ^^

Yeah, if you're outside when there's a tornado, you're supposed to go into a ditch or under a tree. Since my dad delivers things door-to-door for his job, he parked his delivery truck under a tree and waited for the tornado to pass.

Sometimes small trees fall over during tornadoes, but around here I haven't seen any more destruction than that.

今日は教会での英会話coffee&talk。楽しかった～。帰りに英語で書かれた聖書をもらいました。

グルテンを多く含むのは強力粉だそうです。日本のフワフワのパンはこの強力粉が無いと
作れないそうです。袋入りの日持ちするパンは、強力粉を使っているそうです。
フランスパンは強力粉を使いません。日持ちしないので、パン屋にみんな買いに行きます。
ドイツは・・・う～ん分かりません。

うそだ～！　　　ありえな～い！
と覚えたてのフランス語を試してみましたｗ

でも、お米にわざわざ8穀を入れて炊くほどですから
精米されすぎたものは、栄養がないのでしょうね。
あっ、小麦粉の場合は栄養価の問題じゃなくて、グルテンが
害をもたらすんですね。最近パンを良く食べるから、
気をつけなくてはいけないですね。

Yeah, I wonder if it really is much healthier. I don't know much about gluten, so it'll be interesting to see how your two weeks go. ^^

I haven't heard of anyone who's allergic to gluten. I guess most people who get gluten-free foods just do it to stay healthy. It seems that you can find a lot of things without gluten, but I haven't looked around much. My dad said he tried gluten-free crackers.

Oh, my dad says that gluten-free foods are gross and taste like cardboard. Lol~. ^^ But I don't think I've ever tried them myself.
