Ah, I see. The quiz? Where's that? Can I do it from America? O.o
I did the math, and apparently if I keep doing this well every day, I will get the ごまあざらし that sits on your head just a couple days before the event ends. I hope I am not busy with school. >.< I see that you're holding one! ^)
I'll try! We have so many leftover burritos, pieces of pizza, and sweets; I can't let it go to waste! Especially since my family members are dieting! Lol. ^^
Well, that's because I use the bucket, but I can't get it every game. So really it's more like... maybe 200 points a day, if I'm lucky and catch lots of koi fish. Hm, maybe I can still do it? If I have time to play once school starts back up. >.< 頑張るよ!
Yeah! ^^ They really do look like they're kissing. They have funny faces, lol. ^.^♥ Sooo cute. I love watching them. Apparently koi fish are a symbol of love in Japan. ♥
Oh, it's cool that your friend is a confectioner! She's so nice, doing that. ^^ I remember when I graduated middle school, one of my mom's friends bought us a cookie cake. Yummy! ^^ My mom has bought a birthday cake before, but it's not something we usually do. Oh, I just remembered! This one time, my mom and my grandma made me a birthday cake, but it got squashed somehow and they felt bad about it. So they bought me a second cake, and we ate both of them! ^^
Yes, I saw the ごまあざらし! I really want the one that sits on your head~. ^.^ But you have to get 5,000 points. >.<
Yup, there are koi fish in the St. Louis Botanical Gardens! I love going to see them; they are so cute! ^.^♥ I remember before I knew much Japanese, and I went to feed the koi fish, the lady working there said that they're called koi fish because of 恋; they look like they are kissing, they way they move their mouths. ^^
Oh, I see! I didn't know the difference. I suppose we are both scooping and saving them! Saving them from the other people who might try to scoop them. Lol. ^^
That's kind of sad. My mom works so hard to make my birthday cake; if I didn't eat it, she would punish me! O.o What kind of cake was it~? I like chocolate cake with cherries. ^.^
At the DMV, spot check days are decided, and that is also where we get our license.
Our school just offers the classes for free and gives you the road test.
After that, you have to take your papers to the DMV to actually obtain the license. Even though we need not pay for driving school, it is still expensive to buy the license!
Today I ate a lot of lemon cake! I am so full, but I haven't even eaten supper yet. Lol. ^^'
Yup! My school's driving test is not as hard as many. So I passed on the first try~. ^.^
A spot check day is a day that, if you were born on it, you have to retake the road test at the DMV even if you've already passed it in school. The spot check days are kept secret, so you won't know whether or not you'll have to retake it! It makes people very nervous!
Thanks for telling me the terms in Japanese. ^.^ There are driving schools here, too, but many high school students pass their school's driving test instead of having to pay for driving school. The school driving tests are much easier than at the DMV!
After we pass the class in school and the school's road test, we have to get in and record 50 hours of driving with a parent/guardian. Then we go to the DMV to get a license! ^^
Right now my license is a piece of paper. Soon I will get a plastic one in the mail. ^^
Yes, we say "summer break". ^^ In America, we consider a holiday to be something like Christmas or Valentine's Day, not just whenever you're not working or not at school. The British also use 'holiday' to refer to a trip, while we say 'vacation'. I find the British use of 'holiday' to be confusing in having two similar meanings like that~. ^^ For example, Halloween is a holiday, but not a day off of school!
As for 'fancy', Americans usually say 'like'. In England, someone might ask, "Do you fancy someone?" while in America we say, "Do you like someone?"
I wonder if British English might be easier for a Japanese person to pronounce. ^^ As for me though, I can't do an English accent very well. Lol. ^^
Oh wow! ^^ So pretty! I wish I could've gone. I haven't gone on a trip in a long time. My best friend Hana-chan has gone on multiple trips this summer! But there aren't a lot of places Yoshi can go; so many places don't allow dogs. >.< And we can't stand to leave him, because he misses us. ^^'
Yeah, I've already played it almost 200 times! Lulu & Lolo are 元気いっぱい, which is very encouraging! ^^
Has summer break begun in Japan? Gina and I go back to school in mid-August. Our summer break is more than half over. I never want to go back to school! >.<
Well, there's one thing pirates say a lot: "Aargh!"
I'm not sure what it means, though! I think maybe it has no meaning in particular; it's an all-purpose kind of phrase. They also say, "Yo ho ho!" and call people "Matey."
You could try looking up a guide on how to speak like a pirate. ^.^
Here's a brief one I found in Japanese:
http://youril.blog68.fc2.com/blog-entry-59.html
I guess so~! ^.^ It wants to make sure I can show my love of Japan! ♥
It's called International Talk Like A Pirate Day~. ^.^
Yeah, I know right? I got really lucky this time! ^^ I like this gacha; it has so much Japan-related stuff. ^.^ Is it for the Olympics or something~? Go Japan! ^.^
My daughter is to have a concert in September too.
I've been busy with helping her prepare for concerts.
She's going to participate two concerts this month and have a concert in September and October.
She's joined concert hold by our town government but this will be her first time to have her concert in our town.
We are from an old family, so many people cheer and support us.
We'd like them to enjoy the concert.
I wish we lived near so that I could help you!
There was a hevy rain today here, how was your place?
If you were here, I would give you some! My grandma brought some of her delicious cookies! ^^

You get five buckets every day? How? O.o I thought the only way was from catching the goldfish in the bubbles.
My grandparents are visiting tomorrow! I haven't seen them in months. Can't wait! ^^
Yeah! ^^ They really do look like they're kissing. They have funny faces, lol. ^.^♥ Sooo cute. I love watching them. Apparently koi fish are a symbol of love in Japan. ♥

Oh, happy (belated) birthday to your son! ^^

Oh, yeah, we've been hiking with Yoshi before. He gets tired quickly and has to be carried! Lol. ^^
Hm, I never really watch baseball on TV, or anything on TV for that matter. My mom often does, and she claps and cheers a lot!
Btw, Carrie, using phrases like "summer holidays" and "fancy" makes you sound British! Are you practicing your British English? ^^
