【竜安寺】
お客様、境内で、ご質問。
「What's the most typical tree in Japan?」
（これが、日本の木だって言える木は、何？）
「Ｏｈ，these weeping cherry trees that bloom
in beautiful pink in spring are the
most representative of Japan.」
（この、しだれ桜ですよ。春には、ピンク色ですよ。）
「What are some of the trees that
can be seen in other seasons?」
（春以外だと、どんな木？）
「In autumn, .....Oh, look at
these maple-leaf-trees. They surely
are the most typical in Japan.」
（秋ねー。秋・・、あ、これ、
このもみじをご覧下さい。きっと、日本の代表ですよ。）
「・・・・・」
「Oh, because their color turns red.
whole scenic atmosphere turns red as well.」
（だって、これが、赤くなるんだもの、
全体の感じも、赤くなりますよ .)
【石庭で】
「Please close your eyes.and try to meditate
until the rocks relate something to you.」
（ 目を閉じて、瞑想してみましょう。
石が、何か、みなさんに、語りかけるまで。）
つくばいの説明は、いつも通り、「われ、ただ、足るを知る。」
という、禅の教えです。
【二条城にて】
「お客様、駐車代、６００円いただきます。」
我らが、お客様、たいそう、ご不満。
まるで、さっきの教えを、諭されたみたいで。
（あなたね、高いガイド料金なんだから、
それぐらい、あなた、出しておきなさい！
あなた、足ることを知らないわね。）
とにも、かくにも、あやまる。
「I 'm sorry, I'm to blame for how high
the telegraph pole and how red the mail box
is,nothing to say of how heavy the cost
this parking lot needs.」
（すみませんです。電信柱が、高いのも、
郵便ポストが赤いのも、ここの、駐車料金が、
きついのも、みーんな、私のせいで。）
門を入ったら、すぐ右手。
「はい、みなさん、
パスポートを係員にお見せ下さい。」
受けた！みんな、大笑い。
二条城で、いつも聞かれることが、あります。
それは、
「 What's the difference
between emperor and shogun ? 」
（天皇と、将軍は、どう違うの？）
「As far as the title is concerned,
emperor is placed to
higher position than
shogun is.
But actually shogun has
much more power than emperor has.
Originally, shogun
(generalissimo) served as
a top military command who fought
against Emishi
(northern different people).
He belonged to emperor's army.
Later,as shogun's power gained stronger
and stronger, emperor remained
sovereignty only by his title.
Imagine your pet dog has grown bigger
than your ,and the dog orders
you to and not to do this and that !」
（ タイトル的には、天皇が、上ですが、
力は、将軍が上です。
そもそも、将軍は、北方の蝦夷を討つ、
征夷大将軍で、天皇の、軍隊の長でした。
後に、将軍が、力を持ちました。
想像してください。飼い犬が、飼い主よりも、大きくなって、
いろいろと、命令するのですよ！）
【三十三間堂】
平均的に、お客様は、1OOO体の観音様よりも、
その前に、ずらり、陣取った、鎌倉期の、
二八部衆に、目が行くようです。
いろいろ、尋ねられます。
そして、そのあとで、彫像の下に、
書かれた英文解説を、読まれます。
そして、ときどき、聞かされるセリフは、
「Oh, Yours coincides with this explanation.」
（合ってるネ。あんたの説明！）
そうなんだって。 やな感じ。
「 Almost all of these 28 guardian deities are of old Indian origin,
who later converted themselves to Buddhism. And belonged to
the 28 group of Kannon Guardians.」
（ みんな、古代インドの神様で、
後に、仏教に、宗旨変えをしています。）
銀閣寺を見学する時間が、なくなってしまいました。
申し訳けありませんでした。また、日本に、来て下さい。
午後1時45分、ホテルに帰って来ました。
「Thank you ! 」
「Thank you ！」
暑い、暑い午後、きっと、銀閣寺は、灼熱地獄だったことでしょう。
